| Sugar Cookies |
| From the back of a Domino's Sugar bag. |
| Ingredients |
| 1 C granulated sugar |
| ½ t salt |
| ¾ C butter, softened |
| 1 egg |
| 1 t lemon rind, finely grated |
| 1 t vanilla |
| 2½ C flour |
| 1 t baking powder |
| colored sugar |
| Procedure |
| In a large bowl, cream butter, sugar and salt. Add egg, lemon, vanilla and beat until light and fluffy. |
| In a medium bowl, sift together flour and baking powder. Add gradually to creamed mixture. |
| On a floured board, roll to 1/8 inch thick, cut and decorate. |
| Bake at 350°F for 9-10 minutes. Rack cool. Store in air tight container. |
