| Jennifer's Tomato Sauce |
| This sauce can be used with anything Italian. Pastas, Pizzas, Parmigiana, Anything |
| Ingredients |
| 2 T Olive Oil |
| 1 large Onion - diced |
| 6 Garlic cloves - minced |
| 1 LB (450g) lean Ground Beef |
| 2 T dried Basil |
| 2 T dried Oregano |
| 64 oz (4Kg) canned peeled whole Tomatoes |
| Salt and Pepper to taste |
| Procedure |
| In a large sauce pot heat oil, add onions and half sauté, add garlic and complete sauté. |
| Add ground beef and spices and brown. Stir often. Don't allow garlic to burn. |
| Add whole tomatoes and their liquid. Crush tomatoes thoroughly. |
| Bring to a boil then reduce to a very low heat. |
| Let simmer for at least six hours (the longer the better), stirring occasionally. |
| Season to taste. |
