Tomato Sauce

This sauce can be used with anything Italian. Pastas, Pizzas, Parmigiana, Anything

Ingredients

2 T Olive Oil  

1 large Onion - diced 

6 Garlic cloves - minced    

1 LB (450g) lean Ground Beef   

2 T dried Basil 

2 T dried Oregano 

64 oz (4Kg) canned peeled whole Tomatoes

Salt and Pepper to taste

Procedure

In a large sauce pot heat oil, add onions and half sauté, add garlic and complete sauté.

Add ground beef and spices and brown. Stir often. Don't allow garlic to burn.

Add whole tomatoes and their liquid. Crush tomatoes thoroughly.

Bring to a boil then reduce to a very low heat.

Let simmer for at least six hours (the longer the better), stirring occasionally.

Season to taste.
